Managing Your Account
Everything you need to know about managing your Lightwell account.
Instagram Connection
Check Connection Status
Go to Account Settings → Instagram Connection
Status meanings:
- ✅ Connected: All good!
- ⚠️ Expires in X days: Token will auto-refresh, no action needed
- ❌ Disconnected: Reconnect required
When to Reconnect
- Status shows "Disconnected"
- Bot shows "Error" status
- Been >60 days since last connection
- Changed Instagram password
How to reconnect:
- Click "Reconnect Instagram"
- Log into Instagram
- Authorize access
- Done!
Email Settings
Update Email Address
- Go to Account Settings
- Click "Update Email"
- Enter new email
- Verify via email link
Email Preferences
Toggle notifications:
- 🔔 Weekly Insights: Bot performance stats (Elite only)
- ⚠️ Usage Alerts: When you hit 80% or 100% chat limit
- ✅ Bot Ready: When processing completes
Subscription Management
View Current Plan
Account Settings shows:
- Current tier (Starter/Pro/Elite)
- Billing cycle date
- Next payment amount
Change Subscription
Click "Manage Subscription" → Opens Stripe portal
You can:
- Upgrade or downgrade tier
- Update payment method
- View billing history
- Cancel subscription
Cancellation
What happens:
- Access until end of billing period
- Bot stops working after cancellation
- Content and links deleted after 30 days
How to cancel:
- Click "Manage Subscription"
- Click "Cancel Subscription" in Stripe portal
- Confirm cancellation
Delete Account
⚠️ Warning: This is permanent!
What gets deleted:
- Your bot and all data
- Instagram content index
- Affiliate links
- Chat history
- Account completely removed
How to delete:
- Go to Account Settings
- Scroll to "Danger Zone"
- Click "Delete Account"
- Type your username to confirm
- Account deleted immediately
Before deleting:
- Cancel subscription (avoid charges)
- Download any data you want to keep
- Consider just canceling subscription instead
