Get Your Bot Running in 15 Minutes
A step-by-step guide to launching your Lightwell chatbot.

Before You Start
You'll need:
- Instagram Business account (convert in settings if needed)
- Lightwell subscription (Starter/Pro/Elite)
- Optional: List of affiliate links
Step 1: Connect Instagram (2 min)
- Click "Connect Instagram" button
- Log into Instagram
- Authorize Lightwell access
- You'll redirect back to config
What access do we need? Read posts, comments, basic info. We never post.
Step 2: Tell Us About Yourself (5 min)
Fill out the Creator Identity form:
- Creator Name/Brand: Your name or brand (shows in bot)
- Content Focus: What do you post about? (fitness, beauty, lifestyle)
- Target Audience: Who follows you? (moms, gen-z, entrepreneurs)
- Personality Traits: Pick 2-3 that match your vibe
💡 Tip: Be specific! "Fitness tips for busy moms" is better than "fitness"
Step 3: Customize Your Bot (3 min)
- Bot Name: What should people call it? (e.g., "Sarah's AI Assistant")
- Brand Color: Pick your color (hex code or picker)
- Greeting: First message visitors see
- Placeholder: Text in input field
You'll see a live preview as you customize!
Step 4: Add Affiliate Links (Optional - 5 min)
You can skip this and add links later!
To add now:
- Upload CSV file (Brand | Description | Link)
- Or add links one by one
Step 5: Launch! (Processing)
Click "Complete Setup" to start processing.
What happens now:
- We fetch your Instagram posts (50-500 depending on tier)
- Transcribe any videos
- Match your affiliate products to content
- Build your bot's knowledge base
How long?
- Starter: ~5-15 minutes
- Pro: ~15-30 minutes
- Elite: ~30-40 minutes
You'll get an email when ready!
Step 6: Share Your Bot
Once processing is done:
- Go to Dashboard
- Copy your bot link
- Add to Instagram bio
- Share in stories!
